Seattle's Earshot Jazz Festival

Now in its 20th year, the Earshot Jazz Festival presents the full spectrum of jazz -- from high profile concerts in Seattle's fine halls, to cutting-edge creations that move the art form ever forward. Don't miss this great festival October 18 thru November 9.

The event is respected for honoring the deep heritage of jazz while celebrating the leading edges of the art form. This year's festival will present hundreds of the most important artists of our day in more than 60 events in venues all around Seattle. In addition to concert performances, the festival includes educational programs and panels, a film series, poetry and author readings, and art exhibits.

Coming in 2008 is Cecil Taylor, Marilyn Crispell, James Moody w/ Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra, Billy Bang, and many, many, more!

Yacht & Car Show with Kenmore Air

See the beautiful Skagit Valley and the with Kenmore Air. You'll fly on one of Kenmore Air's own classic de Havilland Beaver floatplanes on September 13. They'll fly you directly to and from the Channel Inn Dock in La Conner, right in the middle of all the action!

There are two ways to take advantage of this special offer:

1. The flight to La Conner departs Kenmore Air's north Lake Washington terminal at 11:30am, and returns at 5:30pm. Cost for this option is $98 round trip or $59 each way, and space is limited. 2. If you prefer a scenic tour of the La Conner/Skagit Valley area stop by the Kenmore Air booth at the show to sign up for a terrific 20 minute flightseeing tour from noon to 5:00 on a first-come basis. Cost for the 20 minute tour is $59 per person and cannot be booked in advance.

Either option allows you to experience the thrill of flying off the water in the world's most famous bush seaplane!

A launching pad for musical careers, Sound Off! has enjoyed hosting many young up-and-coming bands over the years including Schoolyard Heroes, Idiot Pilot, Mon Frere, The Lonely H, Dyme Def, Capitol Basement, The Lonely Forest, Natalie Portman's Shaved Head and New Faces.
